hi guys :) i have a slight shudder in my e30 325i when taking off in first gear up until about 3000 rpm coming from the center piece of the car somewhere under the gearbox .i was told by my mechanic that its the center piece prop shaft bearings which have worn out and need to be replaced . does anybody know of someone who can assist me with this ?

Good job.
A prposhaft centre of sorts would be able to help you out. Just make sure you replace it with an original BMW part

Its the Propshaft centre bearing...make sure you check the propshaft coupling as well. Replace both, if you are busy there you might as well.

It just depends where you are based.
Propshaft MAster in Edenvale isn't too shoddy, Propshaft Centre in Germiston resents doing mine so I doubt they'll take on any more BMW propshafts.
MY suggestion to you would be to purchase the parts yourself and the n approach the company to fit, they may hike the price on the genuine part..
YOur centre hanger is in the region of R650-R800 as is the Coupling, from BMW.
Now bear in mind, your car is how old? What has it been through in those years and Km's? And how long ago did it give you grief?
Now go buy BMW man. YOu wont be sorry :)

While your busy with it, I would maybe replace the center bush as well. The reason being, it's a lot of effort to get the prop shaft out of the car. The exhaust needs to be removed and so forth. So while it's in bits, have as much done as needed and as much as your budget can handle ;)
