Wat gaan aan mense . . . .

I recently found a new
mechanic in klerksdorp around the city center area, after alot of thought and bad experience in the past i finally decided to take the chance and let him work on my E30 . . . .

From word of mouth he has fifteen years of working experience at BMW (along with shawn singh from tunetech) . . As well as working on most of the cars at the motoring king in north west known as Speedy Car Sales . . . . And i must say he lives up to his reputation so far . .

Lets face it, these cars are complex to a certain extent and a there is an amount of knowledge and experience required to work on them . . . . But what a job he's done . .

The bulk of work he's done on my E30 are as follows . . . .

- Distributor cap replacement
- Main headlamp, air conditioner and rhs door electronics setup
- Air flow meter adjustments and setup
- Brake calliper pins replacement and brake pressures with new pads
- Adjustable spring spacers at the rear wheels and all joints
- Rack ends, complete steering rack setup, replacement of rubbers etc.
- Heat resistant wrapping done on branches
- Air/fuel mixtures
- Motor, gearbox, and differential oil change to high performance synthetic oils
- Tappets
- Cambelt replacement
- Regular tuning/adjustments on computer

All this was done for just over R4000.00 . . . .

I drove the car for the first time in 10days lastnight and i couldn't be more satisfied . . She moves better than i have ever felt before, smoother, louder, quicker, solid on the road and pulls strongly . . . . Which obviously means faster . . =)

Now there are a few adjustments, tweaks, and wheel alignment left . . . . Should have my car by monday . . . .

I haven't sat in many E30's but this was definitely one of the most powerful E30's i have ever felt . . . . And the best part is, " ITS MY CAR !! " . . . . hehe
