Hi, This is my very first post. I'd like some advice on purchasing my first e30. I've owned 2 Beemers already. One an e46 318i and an e90 320i M Sport. I'm looking for a 325i, I don't know what to look for in this specific cars. I have an offer for an automatic 1992 325i, wich I want to convert to a manual later. How easy is it?

personally i don't think that the purchase price difference between an auto and a manual justifies buying the auto & converting, unless you are getting it really, really cheap or it's in absolutely stunning mint condition.

I'm with ron_g on this.

My advice - take someone who knows these cars to have a look at it.

Thanks for the good advise. The deal didn't go through with the automatic I was getting since I couldn't sell My golf.

If you're looking for an E30, buy Devon's (UpNcOmiNg's).

1. It's a fantastic car
2. It's had everything you would want to do to it done to it.
3. He's on the forum, the build is documented, and it's been done properly.
4. It'll stop us feeling sorry for him.
5. You can choose your own wheels for it...
