I also enquired about a bonnet today. Spares shop selling new Depo products in lights, etc told me they had a new bonnet in stock for R2600 I think. Has anyone bought a new body panel or bonnet from any spares shop?
Jonathan. Are you going to get a secondhand bonnet?

Putting an electric window mechanism in is easy as long as you have the wiring . Also check if there was wiring for the switches . A 2 door and a 4 door roof would differ where the B pillar is as the 2 door has a longer door than a 4 door front door . The roof lining and sunroof may have to be recovered .
Good Luck .

Hi Gents, blessed new year.

I thought i will give you guys an update on the build. Well not much was done because of the holidays. We started last Saturday and again, i must say taking on a project like this is no jokes and it really takes a lot of patience and will power. As soon as we started stripping the rust was revealed, i had to change the fenders, bonnet and both door because of rust, luckily it wasnt to expensive. Were still busy with some body work and by this weekend hopefully we will apply primer and start finishing the prep work for paint. I was lucky to get a set of iS RECARO seats from a buddy how was breaking a smashed 325is, seats and panels are being upholstered (Light brown with black dyed carpet) and by the end of the month that will be collected. So i know it is still a very far way to go but i know in the end the reward will be sweet. One let down is the fact that i couldnt get a sunroof, i really wanted to fit one before the body work was completed, hopefully i will be able to get one before that, if there is anyone how perhaps know where i can get one please let me know...........

Rust revealed!!!!!!!!!!!

If not the original colour then at least choose another colour that e30's was available in. E30's that have been sprayed custom colours always take long to sell when the time comes.

Thank leimie, yes i know. It's Just im looking at the car and we stripped every thing To the bone and primered It, even the Floor and boot Space, no signs of black anymore but maybe i Will go with black again but jet black which is Nice and deep :emoticons_animated_5: dark. I really like the Zinnorberet It really suits a E30.

Hz, a black car is an absolute mission to keep clean. They look amazing as you finish, but quickly look 'dirty' again. Also consider Brilliant Red.........some inspiration, one of my previous cars...
